Overview

#startcisshaming was a hashtag started on Twitter on December 1st, 2020 by a trans activist who was “just joking” and “just bored” (could you imagine that excuse flying if someone tried to start #starttransshaming?). Regardless of the original intent, it picked up speed and was used by many virulent trans activists to attack normal society (made up of people they call “cis“).

Evolution

The hashtag quickly devolved into a cesspool of targeted abuse, with users gleefully posting insults, stereotypes, and open hostility toward anyone not identifying as transgender. Many participants hid behind the Schrödinger’s douchebag defense—claiming it was “just a joke” when called out, yet doubling down on the hate when supported. The underlying message was clear: shaming people for being part of the majority is acceptable if you frame it as progressive. This weaponized “humor” served as a rallying point for those who already view mainstream society as an enemy, giving them a convenient banner under which to normalize their bigotry.

Consequences

Unsurprisingly, the user who started it (@floweraiine) has deleted their account. Investigating the final replies to them shows they deleted their account the day it went viral, showing they probably could not handle the consequences of their actions and decided to escape them as best as they could.

We can infer that this user’s name is Dawn based on replies from users trying to siphon from their sudden influx of attention.

“Just Joking”

This hashtag is Schrödinger’s douchebag in action; the perfect example that the trans cult wants dominance, not equality:
