Overview

In March 2021, Scarlet Blake, a trans-identifying male previously known as Fangze Zang, kidnapped one of his neighbor’s cats. He dissected the cat while it was still alive and put its remains in a blender, recording the entire incident. The video was never uploaded to the internet, and the police did not find out about this crime until they were searching his belongings due to another crime (a murder) he committed months later.

Blake was given a life sentence for the senseless murder, and six months concurrent for the killing of the cat. [^] The judge on the case wanted to give him the new maximum sentence of 5 years, but since the crime was committed before the sentencing increase for cruelty to animals, was stuck giving Blake only six months (minus a quarter for pleading guilty).
