Presentism

Overview

Presentism is the tendency to interpret or judge historical events, people, or cultures based on modern values, norms, and assumptions rather than understanding them in the context of their own time. Historians treat it as a major analytical error because it distorts why people acted the way they did and can flatten entire eras into simplistic moral categories.

As far as how it relates to the trans cult, well… if the trans cult is willing to unscrupulously redefine language and gaslight us about it, of course they will use motivated historical revisionism to make it seem like their insane beliefs that no one held before the 2000s have been around much longer to gain false legitimacy.
