“Language changes” is an argument used by trans activists when they use words incorrectly and get called out on it. It is on-its-face an absurd defense for using words incorrectly. If the fact that language changes justified using ANY word in ANY way, language wouldn’t be consistent enough to work.
In actuality, the reason behind and effect of changing a word’s definition must be taken into consideration to evaluate if such a change is useful/necessary or harmful. But trans activists don’t want you to think about that for words they have tried to destroy like “gender”, “man”, or “woman”. Instead, they want to quantize the concept of “language changes; sometimes that’s good, sometimes that’s bad” into simply “language changes,” with the implication that all changes to language are as accepted/useful as all others.
