Overview
Gender dysphoria is a clinical term for the discomfort one feels at identifying as a gender that opposes the sex they were “assigned at birth” (sigh) and is the lynchpin of trans ideology. It is how trans ideologues guilt trip society into letting them get everything they demand.
It’s also not a real thing.
“Gender dysphoria” is one step on a euphemism treadmill:
Transsexualism → Gender Identity Disorder → Gender Dysphoria → Gender Incongruence
None of these are objective medical diagnoses. They are linguistic framings that generate the very identities they describe through a feedback loop between terminology and self-conception.
Evolution Over Time
- Transsexualism (ICD-10, 1990–2021)
- Gender Identity Disorder (DSM-IV, 1994–2013)
- Gender Dysphoria (DSM-5, 2013–present U.S./psychiatry)
- Gender Incongruence (ICD-11, 2022–present, WHO’s official global terminology)
