At some point, Duolingo (an app to help people learn other languages) had a question for their German course that said the following:
- “Magst du die Bücher mit Harry Potter als Figur?” → “Do you like the books with Harry Potter as a character?”
The “correct” answer for this question was one designed to insult J.K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter:
- “Ja, aber meiner Meinung nach ist die Autorin gemein.” → “Yes, but in my opinion the author is mean.”
As almost 100% of the hate that Rowling gets in recent years is from trans activists, the person responsible for this at Duolingo is almost certainly a trans activist (and possibly trans).
