Boston Medical Center (BMC) is a private, not-for-profit teaching hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. It serves as the primary teaching affiliate for Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and is known for providing a large amount of care to low-income and underserved populations in the Boston area.
Boston Medical Center has been caught with a biased definition of “TERF” on their website. The phrasing “unwilling to recognize trans women as sisters” implies that trans women are women (they aren’t) and these stubborn feminists simply refuse to accept this. In actuality, “trans women” (a misnomer) are men and so-called TERFs recognize this undeniable fact.
Note the biased phrasing of this definition is similar to what Viv Smythe has written and may be a somewhat innocent copy/paste job. As such, politeness should be the first approach to asking them to remedy this offense.
