The side that controls language controls society.
Orwell realized this and warned about it in 1984, a dystopian novel in which the antagonistic regime enforces an artificial language called Newspeak. Newspeak is designed up front to limit how quickly ideas can spread by making some things easy to say (or even think) and others impossible. It should come as no surprise to those embroiled in this fight that the trans cult has taken much inspiration from this authoritarian strategy.
Consider the term “TERF”. You’ve probably (almost certainly) heard it. It is a derogatory slur for feminists who realize that putting men first in feminism is… well, absurd. It doesn’t make sense for various reasons:
- TERFs welcome trans-identifying females into their feminism, thus it is neither fair nor accurate to assign blanket exclusion of trans people or transness to them.
- TERFs only wish to “exclude” men from feminism. Which is fine, since the POINT of feminism is to focus on FEMALE rights and not MALE rights (in the same way the point of BLM is to focus on black rights and not white rights). They just recognize (correctly) that so-called “trans women” are still men and exclude them (again, only from feminism) for consistency.
- TERFs do not wish to exclude trans people from society in general, as the acronym mendaciously implies. They only wish to exclude trans identifying males from feminism and female spaces (which is the only logical view on female spaces) as all males are excluded. I don’t even think they care that much if trans identifying females are allowed in male spaces (and as a male, neither do I for the most part) because female-on-male violence/sexual predation is far less common/severe a problem (and is honestly not their fight to fight).
- The phrase “TERF” gets thrown at people (mostly women), even if they aren’t radical. The ‘R’ in TERF stands for “radical” and has a specific meaning in politics. It is meant to refer to an individual (in this case) that seeks to fundamentally restructure society for a cause. Many who stand against trans ideology simply want men to stay out of the women’s restroom, which has been the norm for decades in various nations (in actuality, TRANS IDEOLOGY as it is practiced now is ENTIRELY radical).
- “TERF” gets assigned to women EVEN IF THEY AREN’T FEMINISTS! Understanding humans can’t change sex is not a strictly feminist bent. Hell, wanting to protect women from predatory men is not strictly feminist!
It’s rare to see an acronym fail so spectacularly that not a single letter in it is correctly used. Not a single element of “TERF” applies to all people that get called TERFs. And yet, it is the word to label opposition to the trans cult (perhaps even more common now than “transphobe”—to show how misogynistic the movement leans). Find any trans activist on X and search “from:<accountname> TERF” and you will likely see results. There hasn’t been a single day since its inception that trans ideology made accuracy or truth a primary goal, only peddling hate for those that won’t bow to its insane demands and follow its insane beliefs.
Thanks to early, nefarious efforts in a game most people didn’t realize they were being forced to play, members of the trans movement get to choose what they get called. But they ALSO get to choose what WE get called. Mark this down as yet another example of how trans people aren’t really oppressed.
